What a fun family shoot! Here are just a few and so many more to come…

Allison Johnson
Phoenix Area. Photographer
My Photography style is natural and candid. I like to step back and capture an emotion rather than a posed smile. I use natural light in the studio and on location. This blog is for you to view a few of my favorite weekly photo updates and to see what I do. Enjoy!

June 13, 2011 - 11:51 am - Allison, this shoot is exquisite. I love the images. Perfect lighting. You are amazing. Love love
June 15, 2011 - 10:17 am - Yes I agree...AMAZING! I love all of them.
As a mother sometimes you think out loud and don’t know how to handle every little situation the perfect way. Well Alexis has always been a little head strong, which I love about her. When ever I take her pictures the whole client/photographer relationship goes out the window. I tend to just shout out orders to her and don’t think they might be offensive. During our shoot I was doing just that. She decided she had just about had enough of the orders and wouldn’t listen to me at all. I was getting frustrated and she thought it was humorous! Everytime I said to look at me she would look away, to smile she would pull a silly face, to put her hand a certain way…well you get it :)! My boys were in the car and Mark was at work so I had had enough!! On the way home I realized that my little girl is growing up and isn’t going to listen when I count to three. We had a good little chat about respect and how it goes both ways. I love this girl with all my heart and think she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Happy Birthday to best daughter anyone could ask for, love you Lex!!

Thanks Kera
October 4, 2011 - 4:37 pm - How funny that we are off by one letter :)! Thank you so much! I used alot of the Florabella actions I think I mostly used shishi and vanity and tweaked them to my liking. Those girls don't know what they are missing...they could have endless pictures if they would just cooperate :)! Thanks and I can't wait to go check your blog out. Alli
It was so good to meet up with our friends the Lee’s and squeeze in a photo shoot. I had a few props laying around that I have wanted to use for a REALLY long time. So When I new these kids were coming to town I new they would be perfectly styled for them. LOVED the colors and just love springtime in Arizona!!

We had our good friends here visiting and I had to snag a few shots of Sidney. She has the most amazing eyes!

I am in L.O.V.E with the new Florabella collection actions just released yesterday. If you haven’t got them you are missing out. The best part about photography is what you can do to a picture to make it look amazing. These bridals were taken in full shade with natural light. The sun was just setting and we were running out of good lighting. I was really sad because my exposure wasn’t all that great. With a few fixes and some beautiful actions (timeless, sunlight, vignette)…it was perfect. Many more to come…

I have had a lot of fun putting this little video/slideshow together as a preview for Paul and Kristie. I have a feeling this is just the beginnig for me. There is so much you can do with video to set the mood. I can’t wait to learn more.

The funnest part about my mornings is being alone with this little guy and waking up to this little face. Here are a few of many faces he pulls while waiting for his breakfast. I could just eat him up!
